#FaithInGod > (#fear + #doubt + #worry)

By rolandbray, Mar 14 2017 04:35PM

It has been a while since I have posted anything and today, I feel a very strong need to share what God has placed on my heart.

In the letter to the Philippians, Paul wrote “ I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.” 4:12 NKJV

Some time ago, I posted #FaithInGod > (#fear + #doubt + #worry) God is good and keeps His promises! #faith #TrustHim – a few people thought that meant that I had found a job, sorry, that was not the case.

I was confirming my Faith in God and recognizing that He is in control. Too often as Christians we can become complacent or comfortable (myself included) and begin to lean on our own strength and resources – forgetting that God provided both. I thought I was secure in my position at work and would continue working there until retirement. That was not my reality. Apparently God has a different plan.

Loss of income can certainly shake a person’s confidence and may even cause them to doubt God’s provision and presence in their life. I have found that although I am currently without gainful employment, my faith remains strong.

Am I saying I have never doubted or challenged God’s plan? “No!” I am not the perfect man of faith. What is true, however, is that I know God sees beyond my present circumstance and knows the plan He has for me. I must trust He knows what He is doing and whatever that is, I must accept it and not rebel, question, doubt or reject it.

I cannot make things happen – but “Faith without works is dead” (James 2:20b) – therefore I must stay in the game, work hard and follow His instruction.

Maybe you, too, are struggling with what God has planned for you. Rest in His arms, take comfort in His peace and remember He is strong enough to carry you through whatever storm you are enduring. He is the Rock of our Salvation, our Shelter in the storm and enduring Father.

#FaithInGod > (#fear + #doubt + #worry) – is as true today as it has been since the beginning of time. Put your faith in God and trust Him to do what’s right – in His time.
